PURPOSE:To provide an excellent peach-like highly dense web by producing fabric from the interlaced yarn of split type polyester fiber with polyester yarn having a thick fineness and subsequently subjecting the fabric to a splitting treatment, a shrinking treatment and a dyeing treatment. CONSTITUTION:Serveral modified cross-sectional ultra-fine fibers 1b each having a fineness of 0.05-0.3 denier, having at least one sharp edge and produced from a copolyester of 2,2-bit-[4-(beta-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl]propane or its ethylene oxide adduct are joined to polyester adhesive phases 1a having a higher alkali solubility than that of the ultra-fine fibers to form a split type polyester fiber yarn. In addition, polyester thick fineness yarn having a hot water shrinkage of 10-15%, a maximum thermal stress value of >=0.4g/de and a fineness of 1.5-10de is formed. Both the yarns are interlaced with each other in an interlacing number of 30-100 turns/m. The interlaced yarns are knitted or woven, and the produced fabric is subjected to a relaxed scouring treatment and simultaneously to a splitting treatment in an alkaline solution, washed with water, dried thermally set and subsequently subjected to a flowing solution dyeing treatment to provide the highly dense web. |
