PURPOSE: To provide an excellent method for prophylaxis of an FeLV infection. CONSTITUTION: Felids are immunologically sensitized with the vaccine contg. the polypeptide which contains the amino acid sequence homologous with at least part of the amino acid sequence of the gp85 envelope protein of FeLV appearing in the 210-250 regions and 415-450 regions of FeLV subgroup Bgp85 protein, is an immune source for initiating or inducing the liquid reaction in the felids, is effective for immunization of the felids against the infection with the feline leukemia virus and in some cases, exists as the protein fused to other proteins or as the conjugate connected to the carrier protein, is not the natural existing felid leukemia virus envelope protein and is microbially produced. |
