PURPOSE:To obtain a prescribed satisfactory cooked-up state irrespective of various kinds of rice qualities such as very long-stored rice, long-stored rice, new rice, etc., by setting freely the feed rate of a scraper conveyor of a second soaking part. CONSTITUTION:A scraper conveyor 7 provided along the inclined surface 6b is inverted on a production of the inclined surface 6b, just after rice grains 3 are transferred to a secondary steaming part C along a guide plate 6c. Subsequently, the rice grains 3 on a main belt conveyor 8 are loosened by a second to a fourth loosening machines 10b to 10d, steamed, while being leveled so that accumulated thickness becomes uniform, become a complete cooked-up state that alpha conversion and gelatinization are completed, and are taken out of a take-out part 9 by a scraper 15b. In this case, in a secondary soaking part B, the scraper conveyor 7 is operated so that the feed rate can be varied by a variable speed motor 17b, therefore, by adjusting the feed rate of the scraper conveyor 7 in accordance with various kinds of rice qualities such as very long-stored rice and new rice, etc., various kinds of rice grains are always cooked up satisfactorily. |
