PURPOSE:To enhance safety and sensitivity, in a recording material forming an image by heat and light, by providing an opaque recording layer containing a developer represented by a specific formula, a metal salt of an org. or inorg. acid and a leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:A recording layer contains a developer represented by specific formula wherein a phenolic hydroxyl group having developing function is blocked by an o-substituted oxycarbonyl group, a metal salt of an org. or inorg. acid and a leuco dye. In the specific formula, R is a 6-30C aromatic ring, R1 is a 1--18C alkyl group, a 3-15C cycloalkyl group, a 1-12C alkyl halide group, an alkoxyalkyl group, an alkylsilyl group, a vinyl group or an aryl group, a and b are an integer of 1-3 and has a relation of a >=b and, when a=b=1, the combination of R and R1 is not the combination of a phenyl group and a xylyl group, the phenyl group and a p-tert-butylphenyl group or the phenyl group and a p-diphenyl group. |
