<p>PURPOSE: To provide a tape cutting apparatus to facilitate separation of the layers of a cut multiple tape. CONSTITUTION: A tape cutting device 26 cuts a tape 4 having first and second layers 4a and 4c adhered to each other by an adhesive layer 4b. This device comprises a anvil 36; a cutter support member 28 carrying a blade 30. The support member and the anvil mounted in a manner to effect relative movement and the blade is brought into contact with the opposite surface of the anvil. The opposite surface has a stepped part 40 over which the tape is bent during cutting. When the tape is released after cutting, the first and second layers of the tape are separated from each other due to a difference in restorability therebetween.</p> |
