<p>PURPOSE:To produce a deodorant at a low cost by a simple process without reducing the adsorbing function of activated carbon to one-half of its original activity with a binding agent by a method where the fine powder of a chain manganese silicate is added to an aq. solution containing metal salts and hydrazine to form a liq. suspension, a carrier consisting of activated carbon is coated with this liq. suspension and this coat is dried. CONSTITUTION:The fine powder of a chain magnesium silicate is added to an aq. solution containing metal salts and hydrazine to form a liq. suspension, a carrier consisting of activated carbon is coated with this liq. suspension and this coat is dried. The deodrant thus obtained assumes the form of a nonwoven fabric made by covering the surface of a molding (carrier) made by bonding together the particles of the activated carbon with a substance consisting of fiber-like fine powder (chain magnesium silicate) and polymer substance. For this reason, the strength of the activated carbon carrier is increased and the adsorbing function of the activated carbon is not lowered. By this method, a deodorant can be produced which has a high function of deodorizing combined malodors, particularly of Ch3CHO, HCHO, NH3 and CH3SH.</p> |
