PURPOSE: To provide a novel herbicidal compsn. which shows higher herbicidal activity than expected and does not increase vegetable toxicity of the plant to be produced, by mixing flurtamone and aclonifen and adding a diluent or carrier and/or surfactant. CONSTITUTION: This novel herbicidal compsn. is produced by mixing flurtamone [5-(methylamino)-2-phenyl-4-[3-trifluoromethyl)-phenyl]-3-(2H)-furanone] and aclonifen [2-chloro-6-nitrophenoxyaniline] in amts. to obtain a synergic effect, and adding a diluent or carrier which is allowed as herbicide and/or surfactant. The weight ratio of flurtamone : aclonifen is 0.036:1 to 13.3:1, preferably 0.25:1 to 2.16:1. This compsn. is preferably prepared in a wettable powder agent, wettable granules or epualgiafiaible concentrate. This herbicidal comspn. is used for controlling weed for autumn-sown grain and is especially suitable to control weed for sunflower and peas. |
