PURPOSE:To provide a metallic bat and method for manufacturing the same improved in the weight balance, easy to swing and reducing the hitting sound. CONSTITUTION:A metallic bat has a grip part 4 filled with a weight adjusting member 5. In the method for manufacturing the bat, a hole 3 is opened in the top of the bat for fulling with weight adjustment member through it grip part, and then the hole 3 is closed, or after a plug is inserted into the grip part and the grip part is filled with the weight adjusting member 5 from the hole 3, a grip end is welded. Further, after the grip part is filled with the weight adjusting member 5 consisting of a synthetic resin or rubber-like elastic body molding from an opening hole in the rearmost end of the grip end, the grip end is welded. Furthermore, after the hollow grip part is filled with the weight adjusting member from the opening hole in foremost end of the head, the top of the head is closed by head spinning work in these methods for manufacturing the metallic hollow bat. |
