PURPOSE:To improve respectively durability and maneuvering stability at high speed travel time, and reduce the weight of a pneumatic tire by setting the terminating edge height of an auxiliary carcass from respective bead base lines larger than the outer end height of a rim flange. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 1 has a carcass 6 reaching a bead part 4 through a sidewall part 3 from a tread part 2. A belt layer 7 is arranged outside of the carcass 6 as well as inside of the tread part 2. An auxiliary carcass 9 is arranged between the carcass 6 and the belt layer 7. A bead apex 8 is arranged between a main body part 6a of the carcass 6 and a folded part 6b. In this case, in a condition where the tire 1 is installed in a standard rim J and the standard maximum internal pressure is applied, tail end height Hs from a bead base line L in the auxiliary carcass 9 is set largert than outer end height Hf from the bead base line L in a rim flange F. |
