<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composite excellent in adhesive strength and durability by laminating rubber layers of specific unvulcanized rubber compsns. with an ultrahigh-mol.-wt. PE powder sandwiched between the layers and integrally bonding the resulting laminate by fusion under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:Rubber layers of at least two kinds of unvulcanized rubber compsns. (e.g. one contg. a carbon black, a process oil, an accelerator, etc.) contg. the same kind of rubber having a critical surface tension gammac of 25-35mN (e.g. natural rubber) are laminated with an ultrahigh-mol.-wt. PE powder (having a mol.wt. of about 5,000,000) sandwiched between the layers. The resulting laminate is integrally bonded by fusion by heating to a temp. higher than the m.p. of the powder, e.g. 150 deg.C.</p> |
