摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a reach type forklift capable of turning in a small turning radius continuously with steering wheel operation while being based on the operating feeling of a normal reach-type forklift, and that in the end, capable of traveling in traverse motion continuously from the rectilinear travel time. CONSTITUTION:A reach type forklift is provided with a control device having a means for detecting the steering angles of road wheels 5, 6 supported in the steerable state on lateral straddle arms, and a means for detecting the steering angle of a driving wheel 4 steered by a steering wheel. The control device determines an angle of the same degree as the steering angle thetaD of the driving wheel 4 and reverse in the direction as the steering angle thetaR of one road wheel 6, computes a turning center point P1 determined by the geometric relation between the driving wheel 4 and road wheel 6, and performs steering control in such a way that the extended line HL of the rotary shaft of the other road wheel 5 coincides with the turning center point P1.
