The couch is adjustable for height and angle and lockable in position on a roller-mounted underframe. It has tilting levers (10,11), and a lifting one (3) pivoting on a fixed horizontal axis (5) on the couch frame (1) and also on a slide (6) working in a horizontal lengthwise guide (9) in the underframe (2).The bottom tilting lever is on a fixed axis on the latter, and the top one is on a slide working in the lengthwise direction of the couch. They hinge together on a horizontal axis where they intersect the lifting lever, and are coupled together by a linear motor or lockable gas spring. A second linear motor (41) is coupled between the underframe and the bottom tilting lever (10).
