Precise transfer of dough from dough dividing machines

A dough dividing machine transfers sections of dough to a further treatment device (9 to 14) located below the dough delivery point. The machine consists of a dough dividing chamber element (1) which contains one or more dividing chambers with measuring pistons (6) and which moves across the outlet of a dough delivery system (3,4). The downward delivery of the sections of dough (9) is achieved by a relatively rapidly rotating projecting roller (8) located below the dividing chamber element. The face (6.1) of the measuring piston (6) which comes into contact with the dough is provided with one or more recesses which increase its surface adhesion area.
