The stroke of the piston (4) is limited by endstop elements (2,3) which also act as dashpots to cushion the piston movement. One of the endstop elements (2) is axially adjustable along the cylinder by rotation of a leadscrew (6) mounted in a bearing of the endcap (21) and having an outside handwheel (9).An eccentrically positioned throttle pin (18) passing through a hole and seal in the endcap allows adjustment of a cushioning throttle valve (23) and also prevents rotation of the endstop element (2).
