Package for integrated circuit with pattern of coupling contacts

At the edges of the package, coupling contacts are arranged in a preset raster pattern (R). The edges have recesses, releasing a number of raster points offset towards the centre for connection of coupling contacts.W.r.t. the recesses and their boundary line, the package edges have pref. a depth corresp. precisely to a raster spacing. Alternately the depth may correspond to two raster spacings. Adjacent coupling contacts may be arranged on a diagonal of two opposite raster points of a raster bounded by two raster lines.
