The control has a double-acting ram coupled continuously to a pressure medium source (28a) in closure direction, while in the opening direction it is coupled to the pressure medium source via a first control valve. To the source is coupled an auxiliary vol. (18a) via a first adjustable throttle (76a) and is evacuated, when a second control valve (24a) is actuated.The auxiliary vol. pressure controls a third valve (62a) couples the ram to the source in the opening direction, when the auxiliary vol. has been evacuated. The source is connectable to the auxiliary vol. via a second control (80a), responding to increased temp. and/or an external command, and via a second adjustable throttle (82a).
