Heat exchanger mounting has a pressure section (42) with at least two opposing surfaces (68) lying against two facing surfaces (64) in carriers (60) of the pipe bundle shrouding, at the outer cladding (10). The fitting stops any movement of the pipe bundle shrouding (22) in relation to the outer shrouding (10), parallel to its axis.The opposing surfaces (68) are at the flanks of a groove (62), with a horizontal lie, worked at the end surfaces of the pressure section (42), to bear against the outer shrouding (10). The facing surfaces (64) are at a carrier (60) placed in the groove (62). The carrier (60) is welded to the inner surface of the outer shrouding (10).
