Sepn of condensible fluidised solids, which are in an aerosol-like form, from a stream of hot gas is claimed.The gas stream passes through a cooling zone (1) which can be mechanically cleaned (2) without restricting the flow of gas, and the gas is immediately cooled by water sprays and the solids are removed in a wet form (4,8).Also claimed is an apparatus for carrying out this procedure, in which liquid droplets are separated from the gas stream by condensation, and the cooling zone with its mechanical cleaning element (2) and the wet separation system (4) with its outlet valve (8) are constructed as a single unit. |
