A mixer arm (1) for a mixer incorporates a hub (2) of cast steel to which is secured a hollow profiled body (10). The novelty is that the hollow profiled body (10) is made of strong material such as fine grained construction steel; further that the hollow body (10) is surrounded by a mantle of several wear-resistant protective elements (13, 113) made of wear-resistant material such as hard cast steel; further that the wear-protection elements (13) incorporate inner recesses (14, 114) the cross section of which matches the external shape of the hollow body (10).
