The spring band (1) has a constant thickness and is designed in its longitudinal extension so that the greatest strength is at the ends (3,4). This strength decreases severely adjoining the ends through the reducing cross-sectional surface and then rises again gradually progressively towards the longitudinal centre (6) through the increasing cross-sectional surface.The end pieces are hollow cylindrical segments and serve to apply the tensioning force. In the functional state they press on the hose with their inner sleeve face (14). The width of the spring band is always greater than its thickness.
