Yarn clinging test

To test the clinging propensity of yarns, when in contact with each other, two yarns are drawn into a test zone and they are brought together with a local, linear or spiral contact. The yarns are sepd. to simulate their movements in a loom shed, together with scanning of the sepn. between them, and the two yarns are withdrawn from the test zone.The yarns are braked before insertion into the mutual contact zone. When the first yarn is inserted, a braking action can be applied to it to draw it back, and then drawn through as the second yarn. The two yarns can be of different qualities and of different materials. They can be drawn continuously through the test zone, or at least one yarn is moved through in steps. They can be moved through at the same or different speeds, by an adjustable and constant braking force.
