A heat accumulating stove having a heating chamber (16), a first oven (18) above the heating chamber, a second oven (20) to the side of the first oven, and a third oven (22) below the second oven and to the side of the heating chamber, wherein in use the hot gases from the heating chamber are so controlled that the temperature of the first oven is maintained above that of the second oven, which is maintained at a temperature above that of the third oven.
