摘要 The invention relates to a system for free-space optical transmission of frequency-modulated or pulse-modulated signals with one or more stationary light-transmitting units and a focusing optical system connected to these optical transmitting units and with one or more optical receiving units with a focusing optical system connected upstream. There is, however, in applications in which the transmitter is stationary whereas the receiver is mobile, the disadvantage that the transmission power is inadequate for infrared light as soon as a wide reception angle is required at the receiving end. The object is therefore to indicate a device of the aforementioned type in which the abovementioned disadvantages are overcome. This is achieved according to the invention by designing the optical lens disposed at the transmitting or receiving end or a corresponding lens system in such a way that the focusing effect is great in the vertical direction, i.e. a narrow beam angle is produced in the vertical direction. Little or no focusing effect is produced in the horizontal direction so that a wide beam angle is created here. <IMAGE>
