<p>The bearing has an inner race supported on the outer peripheral surface of a spacer and located between the flange and the axially facing end of the hub. The bearing is free of the outer peripheral surface of the hub, an output member mounted on the bearing and supported by the bearing for rotation relative to the spacer and hub. The output member is selectively operable for rotation with the hub or to enable the hub to rotate relative to the output member. A screw has a threaded shank and a driving head on one end of the shank. The shank is threaded into the hole in shaft, the head being operable, upon tightening of the screw, to act against the flange and cause the bearing to be clamped axially between the flange and the axially facing end of the hub. Wrenching surfaces on the spacer are engageable by a wrenching tool during tightening of the screw. The wrenching tool coacts with the spacer and hub to prevent the shaft from turning as the screw is tightened.</p> |
