Card flat check

The appts. to check the smoothness and lie of a card flat, has a number of static monitors (5) at the measurement points. Also claimed is a test process where deviations are registered from nominal values at all the monitoring points, and the deviation values are digitised to be stored in memory.The monitors (5) are inductive path movement sensors, with a measurement plate at the end face of each. The monitoring point has a dia. of 0.6-1.2 times the width of the drum surface of the flat (1). The monitor (5) can also be a proximity initiator, at 100-200 mm intervals between them. One bearing pedestal has a longitudinal limit stop and they both have lateral limit stops for the flat (1). The bearing pedestals have a ground laying surface and the bearing pedestal level matches the flat (1) prodn. state. The monitors (5) are connected to a computer through an analogue/digital converter. The computer has at least one data output link.
