A moisture-permeable waterproof cloth which is composed of a cloth and, formed on at least one side of the cloth, a resin coating containing a polyurethane resin which is prepared by the reaction among an isocyanate, a polyol and a chain-lenghtening agent, has a glass transition point in the range from -20 to + 20 DEG C, and contains at least 7.0 mol/kg of ethylene oxide units. It is produced either by coating at least one side of a cloth with a resin solution containing a polyurethane resin in a polar organic solvent and conducting wet coagulation in a coagulating bath to form a coating film, or by coating a release paper with a resin solution containing a polyurethane resin in a volatile organic solvent to form a resin coating and adhering the coating to at least one side of a cloth.
