<p>An electronic franking machine comprising a printing device for printing fixed data and variable data for franking an item of mail moving over a transport route (6) between an entrance (7) and an exit (8) of the machine, the printing device comprising a first rotary drum (2) rotated by a first motor (222) for the printing of main franking data, a second rotary drum (4) rotated by a second motor (422) and carrying several selectable printing blocks for the printing of auxiliary franking data onto the said item, and a control means for operating the second motor so as to print the impression of a selected printing block at a chosen position on the item. <IMAGE></p> |
