<p>The present invention relates to the use of 5-methoxypsoralene for the production of medicaments which are intended for the treatment of pathological states due to the infection of an individual by viruses of the HIV type, and more particularly of the HIV-1 and HIV-2 type. Another aim of the invention is a method of treatment, via an extra-corporal route, of the blood of patients who are likely to be carriers of viruses of the HIV type, comprising a step of exposure to UVA rays of blood which is placed in extra-corporal circulation, this blood having been treated beforehand with 5-methoxypsoralene.</p> |
