PURPOSE:To turn off only the power source of an unrequired equipment by instructing to turn off the power source to the equipment for which connection is released by a connection change. CONSTITUTION:There is a state where a play command from a VTR 13 is executed and video signals from the VTR 13 are displayed at a CRT 10 existed. In this state, the play command is transmitted from a laser disk player LDP 14 through a control line 21 and a control part 9 to a CPU 5. Then, the play command is a connection change command inside a television receiver 1 and the CPU 5 controls a switch box 8 and makes the video signals from the LDP 14 supply to the CRT 10 instead of the video signals from the VTR 13. Also, after the lapse of a set period of time, a power off command is transmitted through the control line 21 to the VTR 13 and the power source of the VTR 13 is turned off. Thus, the power source of the equipment unrequired for the receiver 1 can be turned off. |
