PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant for hot rolling which hardly allows seizure even when the rolling speed or draft per stand is increased by compounding a mineral oil with a solid org. polymer having a specified particle size, graphite or mica having a specified particle size, and a surfactant each in a specified amt. CONSTITUTION:The lubricant is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. mineral oil with 0.1-10 pts.wt. solid org. polymer having a particle size of 1-100mum at room temp., 0.1-10 pts.wt. graphite having a particle size of 1-60mum and/or 0.1-10 pts.wt. mica having a particle size of 1-100mum, and 0.1-10 pts.wt. surfactant for dispersing the polymer, graphite, and mica as the solid lubricants. |
