PURPOSE:To provide a document preparing device capable of effectively utilizing a calculation function during the preparation of a document and improving its operability. CONSTITUTION:When a calculation key is depressed after preparing a table by depressing a document preparation key and a ruled line/cursor key, a table top electronic calculator is displayed on a display. When a code data group in a text memory corresponding to a cursor position is only a numerical code string (S52: YES) at the time of executing arithmetic processing by using the computer, necessary arithmetic data are substituted for the numerical code string in the text memory, only the arithmetic data are stored (S53) and document data stored in the text memory are displayed on a display (S55). |
