PURPOSE:To control a tap coefficient correction width in response to input data by adopting the configuration using a data signal when a correlation value is obtained. CONSTITUTION:Output data from an adder 21 are subject to retiming by a shift register 23 and the result is given to an adder 22. Output data from the adder 22 are subject to retiming by a shift register 24 and the result is given to the adder 22. As a result, the adder 22 acts like an integration device. Furthermore, a carry output from the adder 22 is given to an inverter 26 and also to an AND circuit 27. On the other hand, a polarity signal D, is subject to retiming by the shift register 23 and the result is given to an inverter 25 and an AND circuit 28. Outputs from the AND circuits 27,28 are used respectively for an UP input and a DOWN input of a U/D counter 29. Then an output of the U/D counter 29 is used for a tap coefficient of an equalizer and a tap coefficient width is controlled in response to the input data. |
