<p>PURPOSE:To easily separate a specific gaseous component by desorption by separating only the specific gaseous component from a gaseous mixture by selective adsorption on an adsorbent and irradiating the adsorbed specific gaseous component with electromagnetic waves of the energy larger than the adsorption energy of both. CONSTITUTION:Pumps 20a, 20b, 20e are operated to introduce the gaseous mixture into a housing 2 from a suction port 12. The gaseous mixture, then, comes into contact with a rotating body 5 in the housing 2 and the specific gaseous component G1 is selectively adsorbed and separated to the adsorbent 10 in double walls 9. On the other hand, the non-adsorbed component G2 passes the adsorbent 10 and is discharged through the separating space 11 on the inner side of the rotating body 5. The specific gaseous component G1 adsorbed in the adsorbent 10 is introduced into desorption spaces 17a, 17b where the specific gaseous component is desorbed and released by the electromagnetic waves from electromagnetic wave generators 14a, 14b. The specific gaseous component is then discharged and separated through valves 19b, 19a and the pumps 20b, 20a from a discharge port 13a.</p> |
