<p>PURPOSE:To realize efficient data transmission by changing automatically number of virtual lines used for data communication in a packet exchange network in response to a change in a transmission data quantity. CONSTITUTION:When a communication quantity discrimination section 25 discriminates it that a data transmission quantity per unit time from an information processing unit detected by a communication quantity detection section 23 exceeds an upper limit of a permissible range of a current data communication quantity, the discrimination section 25 informs a command of addition of another virtual line to a same transmission destination to a packet exchange control section 24. The packet exchange control section 24 receiving the notice sets up a new virtual line between the information processing unit and the transmission destination based on INS-P. Then the information processing unit uses the two virtual lines to make packet communication to the transmission destination.</p> |
