METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPROVING ANGLE OF FIELD OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: To improve the difficulty of seeing a liquid crystal display depending on a seeing angle. CONSTITUTION: The angle of a visual field can be expanded by properly selecting the thickness of a liquid crystal material as the function of the color of a liquid crystal display pixel and a double refractive parameter. In order to further improve the angle of the visual field, the angular dependency of radiation is reduced by using wave length panels 21 and 22. The wave length panels 21 and 22 compensate the change is the delay of the liquid crystal display at a non-vertical angle to the display to reduce the leakage of back ground light. As the leakage of back ground light is reduced, a contrast ratio and cromaticity are improved.
