<p>PURPOSE:To provide a chuck mechanism for gripping a rectangular parallelepiped cartridge such as an optical disc in which the cartridge can be gripped and transferred through a simple structure by mounting a drive source or a unit on the chuck mechanism itself thereby preventing increase of weight due to increase of overall size of moving operation mechanism or congestion of wiring or piping of drive source. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped hand 1 rotatable about a hand shaft 3 secured at the opposite ends of a movable band plate 11 comprises an L-shaped movable hook 2 disposed at the front end of the hand 1 and a combination of a hook spring 6 and a spring pin 7. A hand spring 9 wound around the hand shaft 3 located in the center of the hand 1 imparts rotating force to the hand 1 thus regulating opening/closing of the hand 1 by means of a hand pin 8 disposed on the hand 1, a lock pin 10 disposed on the plate 11 while touching the hand 1, and a lock spring 13.</p> |
