<p>PURPOSE:To detect a tension in a small change in tape span and to reduce in size by converting a tension of a tape to a pressure and applying it to a pressure sensor on a base. CONSTITUTION:A tape tension detector is comprises a filmlike pressure sensor 12 adhered to a base 13 and an arm 11 for converting a tension of a tape to a pressure to apply it to the sensor 12. The sensor 12 has a two-layer structure of a conductor pattern layer and a semiconductor polymer layer, and varies at its resistance value in response to a magnitude of a pressure to be applied. Electrodes of the sensor 12 are connected to a current/voltage converter via a terminal board, a connector mounted on the base 13, and output its resistance value change as a VOUT. At the time of using, it is so fed as to be brought into contact with a magnetic tape at both sides of a capstan roller 2 of a tape guide 2 to be supported. Then, tension of the tape 6 can be effectively and accurately detected by a small change in a tape span.</p> |
