PURPOSE:To surely absorb urine and the other body fluids by providing a pair of flap members fitted to a liquid permeable surface sheet in such a manner as to extend in the longitudinal direction of an absorptive article, and setting the space between the base ends of the flap members and the length thereof from the base end to the free end in such a manner as to hold the penis between the flap members. CONSTITUTION:A throw-away absorptive article 1 comprises a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 formed of a material through which urine and the other body fluids can permeate, a liquid impermeable sheet 5, and an absorbent 7 which is disposed between the above sheets and absorbs body fluids which permeate through the liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and holds the same. The liquid permeable surface sheet 3 is provided with a pair of flap members 11A, 11B having a width of L fitted at the base ends 12A thereof, the other ends of the flaps are free ends 12B. The base ends 12A are fitted at a space R therebetween, and the space R is set in such a manner as to satisfy the equation 0.5D<=R<=4D when the mean diameter of the penis is taken to be D. Accordingly, the penis can always be positioned on the absorbent 7 so that discharged urine can surely be absorbed. |
