<p>PURPOSE: To permit a waveguide to be compact and to improve its performance by permitting the incident surface of an optical beam which directly reaches an optical activating layer, is guided by means of the waveguide and reaches the optical activating layer to be vertical against the longidutinal direction of a gap. CONSTITUTION: Magnetic layers 30 and 32 mutually separated by the waveguide 50 and a non-magnetic layer 34 are united on a same substrate 70. A polarized analyzer 26 and respective optical magnetic layers are arranged on the substrate 70, the substrate itself constitutes an optical sensor and a photosensitive element 72 is formed on the surface. The substrate 70 consists of a silicon chip, the photosensitive element 72 is deposited on it, the element 72 is connected to external connection pats 76 by a metallizing processing 74 and a connection wire 78 is blazed against the pats in order to transmit an electric signal to the outside of the silicon chip. An electric charge generated in the photosensitive element '72 can be transferred by a MOS circuit or a CCD circuit. A transparent flatening layer 80 is arranged on the substrate 70 and the layer 26 is vapor- deposited.</p> |
