<p>PURPOSE:To prepare a dried burdock root which can be reconstituted with hot water to reproduce the nutrient, palatability and taste of fresh burdock root. CONSTITUTION:A burdock root is cut, boiled for a prescribed period, drained, immersed in a seasoning liquid for about 10min and dried. A moderate amount of sugar is impregnated into the burdock by the osmotic pressure difference between the water in the burdock 1 and the sugar syrup. The dried burdock can be quickly reconstituted with hot water and the reconstituted burdock has remarkably improved taste compared with conventional dried burdock.</p> |
