PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant for hot rolling which hardly allows seizure even when the rolling speed and draft per unit stand are increased by compounding a mineral oil with a specific solid lubricant and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:The lubricant is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. mineral oil with 0.1-20 pts.wt. solid org. polymer having a particle size of 1-100mum as a solid lubricant, 0.1-10 pts.wt. surfactant, and, if necessary, 0.1-10 pts.wt. water- sol. resin to thereby disperse the solid lubricant in the oil. The obtd. lubricant in an amt. of 0.1-30vol.% is mixed into water before use. |
