A clutch servo (6) comprises, on a pressure medium feed line (10), a throttle (20) which, when it is indicated that the clutch linings are worn, is engaged so that it delays the pressure medium supply. The lining wear is indicated under the influence of a sensor (28) which senses the position of a working piston (12) in the servo. The engagement of the throttle (20) causes the servo action to be delayed, and because the clutch pedal feels harder to operate the driver receives a warning that the linings are worn and require replacing. |
