<p>PURPOSE:To easily decide a desired thesis by displaying zero as the number of including character strings in regard to a paper that includes no retrieved character string. CONSTITUTION:A scientific paper data base system includes a personal computer 10, a standard display 12, a CD-ROM 16, etc. Then one or plural searching character strings are supplied to the data base system and the number of these character strings included in a relevant thesis is searched. The number of character strings included in each thesis is shown on a display 12. In regard to the theses including one or more character strings, the sum total of these theses is defined as the number of including character strings and the character string is included in each corresponding theses. Meanwhile, the number of including characters string is defined as zero in regard to the theses including no character string and the character string is excluded out of the relevant thesis. Thus it is possible to easily decide a desired thesis among those theses extracted out of the scientific paper data base.</p> |
