<p>PURPOSE:To provide a clock supply circuit which detects the ringing of an output clock signal basing on the error signal produced between a source clock signal and the output clock signal of the clock supply circuit and then automatically select a damping resistance to minimize the ringing. CONSTITUTION:An error signal extracting means 6 extracts a difference signal produced between the source clock signal of a clock oscillator 2 and the clock signal of an output terminal 5 of a clock supply circuit. The comparator means 14 and 17 compare an error signal 6a with threshold voltage levels 15 and 16 via peak value detector means 8 and 9 and peak value storing means 10 and 11, respectively. Then, a damping resistance selecting means 20 is controlled basing on the results of comparison of both means 14 and 17. Thus, the optimum one is selected out of a group 4 of damping resistances.</p> |
