PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a cloud of the powder such as toner or the like and the scattering thereof outside a device by fitting a seal member to a base material through an intermediate member having a specified coefficient of thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate member 4 is fitted to the top surface of a container 13 of a recovery part 12 of a cleaning device 10. A seal member 3 is fitted onto this intermediate member 4, and the end of the seal member 3 is made to be in contact with the surface of an image carrier 2. As the seal member 3, the material having a coefficient of thermal expansion at the level of 50-200X10<-6>K<-1> is used, for example, a polyesther resin, polyurethane resin or the like is used. As the intermediate member 4, the material having a coefficient of thermal expansion, of which ratio in relative to the coefficient of thermal expansion of the seal member 3 exists in a range of 0.9-1.1, is used, for example, the similar material with the seal member 3 is used. At a high temperature, distortion to be caused by a difference of the coefficient of thermal expansion between the base material and the seal member 3 is absorbed by the intermediate member 4 to prevent the generation of wave-like deformation of the seal member 3. |
