PURPOSE:To provide an electric double layer capacitor wherein it can meet a solder immersion test and, even in 5 high-temperature load test executed as a reliability test, its electric characteristic after the test is excellent as compared with that in conventional cases by electing materials for a separator and a gasket. CONSTITUTION:A separator 12 which is interposed between one pair of polarizing electrodes 11a, 11b is constituted of a nonwoven fabric composed of a syndiotactic polystyrene resin, and a gasket 15 which is interposed between an opening part in a dish-shaped metal case 14, on the positive side, which houses the pair of polarizing electrodes 11a, 11b and a metal lid 16 on the negative side is constituted of a syndiotactic polystyrene resin. |
