PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of a generator with the decrease of combustive air relative power and obtain an inexpensive generator in a simple structure by changing the flow rate of reforming steam with the operation of a control valve to keep the temperature of a catalyst layer in a reformer constant. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate of raw fuel supplied from the outside to a reformer 1 is measured with a raw fuel flow signal transmitter 21 and the flow rate of reforming steam supplied to a generator 1 after separated from cooling water in fuel cells 15 by a steam separator 16 is measured with a steam flow signal transmitter 22. The flow rate of combustive air supplied from the outside to a burner 2 is measured with a combustive air flow signal transmitter 7 and the temperature of a catalyst layer in the generator 1 is also measured with a temperature signal transmitter 6. A temperature control unit 24 controls the temperature of the catalyst layer in the generator 1 to be constant by operating a steam flow control valve 20 to control the fow rate of reforming steam in accordance with the outputs of the respective signal transmitters 21, 22, 7, 6. |
