PURPOSE:To provide a gas electric discharge panel which is easy to manufacture, has high brightness and high efficiency and can be refined to a higher degree. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of band anodes 2 and a transparent insulating layer 3 having slits 5 formed therein are provided on a front substrate 1, and insulating layers 7, 10 each comprising a plurality of band trigger electrodes 9 and band cathodes 8 alternately disposed are provided on a back substrate 6, and the anodes and cathodes are made to three-dimensionally intersect each other and a discharge space is formed therebetween. A lattice insulating layer 10 having first through holes 12 and a lattice phosphor layer 14 having second through holes 13 are provided on the cathodes, and each of the second through holes encompasses the three-dimensional crossing points of the anodes and cathodes and is elongated in the direction of the anodes, and the first through holes are communicated with the second through holes. Either of the ends of each second oblong hole is three-dimensionally formed in the three-dimensional crossing part of the anodes and cathodes. The slits are communicated with the second through holes and formed three-dimensionally within the second through holes and opposite to the first through holes. |
