LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE ARRAY AND OPTICAL PRINTING HEAD EMPLOYING LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE ARRAY

PURPOSE:To provide a light-emitting device array which facilitates reduction of the number of wire bonding positions for connections to an external circuit and reduction of the number of driving devices for a driving IC in comparison with a conventional constitution. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting device array has following components (a)-(d) on a GaAs substrate 41. (a): (n) pieces of light-emitting devices 43. (b): (n) pieces of switching devices 45 which correspond to the respective light-emitting devices 43 and have respective 1st terminals 45a, 2nd terminals 45b and control terminals 45c. (c): (m) lines of first wirings 47 with which the control terminals 45c of respective (n/m) pieces of the switching devices 45 among (n) pieces of the switching devices 45 are connected to each other. (d): (n/m) lines of second wirings 49 with which the 2nd terminals 45b of (m) pieces of the switching devices which are selected from respective (m) groups of the switching devices which are classified in accordance with the first wirings 47 without overlapping.
