PURPOSE: To automatically adjust an oscillator to correct its frequency operation by preventing the fixed insertion loss caused by using a directional coupler and using a coupling aperture to sample a signal generated in an oscillation source cavity. CONSTITUTION: A secondary output which doesn't degrade the performance or the turning characteristic of an oscillation source is generated by a coupling aperture 12 provided on a reflection wall 32 besides a first aperture 11 which forms a primary output from an oscillation source cavity 10 of a microwave oscillator. <=-20 dB oscillation source power is coupled through the aperture 12, and a mixer 21 and a frequency discriminator 24 are used in feedback loops 12, 21, 23, 24, and 36 to stabilize the oscillation source. This mixer is provided with a waveguide division 15 separated from the oscillation source cavity by the reflection wall 32, and the entire mixer is provided with a circuit board which is set across the waveguide division 15 and supports an inductive probe, and the signal from the coupling aperture 12 is supplied a pair of anti-parallel mixer diodes of the board by this probe. |
